As Founder of Fit for Higher Ed, LLC, Cathy focuses on guiding students to discover their authentic selves and best college options as well as helping families manage the college search effectively to reduce anxiety. 

She has consistently participated in professional training and college visits for the last ten years. Her own children have been through this process six times, landing at American, Brown, Emory, Ohio State, Yale, Rutgers and University of Cincinnati Medical School.

After growing up in Puerto Rico, Cathy has enjoyed living in New England, Texas, Colorado, Ohio and Southern California.  She spent many years working in the insurance industry and volunteering in schools and community outreach organizations, serving as President of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Columbus, Ohio and President of Parent’s Association at Columbus Academy. Cathy’s expertise is in undergraduate and transfer admissions, performing arts and film applications, post-bac and graduate programs and medical school admissions. 

She attended Cornell University and the University of Connecticut and is a native Spanish speaker. Cathy lives her life guided by the values of Authenticity, Honesty, Kindness and Gratitude.
