Gilbert supports his students in three ways:

-Exposing them to a wide variety of institutions, majors, and job pathways so they are more educated on the options available to them

-Explaining how the steps they take now will help them mature academically, develop important skills, and prepare for life in/after college

-Empowering them to embrace who they truly are in their college application so they can land at colleges that really fit them

Gilbert holds a Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA Extension and is also a Professional Member of Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), where he regularly takes advantage of professional development opportunities so his families stay up-to-date. He earned his B.A. in Communication from the University of Connecticut. With over 70 on-campus visits, virtual visits, and conversations with college admission officers under his belt, his students and families have the information they need to put together the best application possible. Prior to becoming a consultant, he worked with countless high school students through teaching IB English B in Shanghai, China and serving as a high school basketball coach.
