I come to educational advising via a non-traditional route, as much of my professional experience is in marketing and business.

I found my way to college advising because I love working with young people, I love visiting colleges, and I am passionate about the importance of higher education. Individually, it should be some of the best years in a young person's life and provide stability for a satisfying and financially secure future. Collectively, the more people who learn how to find truth and have respectful discourse with people of different backgrounds and opinions, the better our world will be.

I am also very passionate about international education which has led to an interesting twist in my professional path. I am currently the US admissions advisor for the University of St Andrews in Scotland. To avoid any conflicts of interest, my independent clients are all pro-bono. I love my international work, but I also love working with individual students to help them find their path to a great college match. Working on “both sides” of the desk gives me a unique perspective when helping students. I am grateful I have found my way to this amazing career space.
