Christy started her career in higher education as an admissions counselor for Hope College, a small Christian Liberal Arts College in Holland Michigan. After five years, she became an Associate Director of Admissions at the University of Denver. Four years later she joined the staff at Valor Christian High School as an Academic and College Counselor. She joined Smart College Selection this fall after two years in a high school setting.

Christy has worked within higher education and the college selection process from many different angles. She is also currently enrolled in the Professional Program in College Admission Consulting at the University of California Berkeley Extension. Christy is a first-generation college student who can break down the confusing process for those with limited experience as well as for those who are well versed in the college admission process. She builds rapport quickly with students and loves walking with them as they make this important next step!
