Scholarship Winners

Congratulations to Colorado Public Schools' Scholarship Winners


College Consultants of Colorado (CCC) has awarded three $1000 scholarships to the Class of 2024 graduates and six $500 scholarships to the Class of 2023 graduates.  The Colorado high school students who will be attending both in- and out-of-state colleges, were nominated by counselors at their high schools.

 

College Consultants of Colorado is a group of independent educational consultants who help students and families navigate the complex college search and application process.  Awarding the aforementioned scholarships was made possible through members’ generous contributions to a CCC scholarship fund.

 

Class of 2024 Scholarship Recipients

Name: Ethan McGuinness 


High School: Durango High School


College/University: Colorado State University 


Intended major: Political Science


Future Goals: At Colorado State University, it is my goal to study Political Science, because I want to make a positive change in the world. Our world today is plagued with numerous challenges ranging from climate change to health care. Our country needs bright, innovative thinkers who can challenge the status quo to make beneficial and progressive change.

Future Goals: I plan to graduate from business school with a degree in marketing and lots of internship experience. From there I hope to attend law school to become a corporate lawyer.

Intended major: Exploratory Studies 


Future Goals: While I don’t yet have a chosen field, my long-term goal is to work in a field where I can continue to give back to my community throughout my future career. I look forward to furthering my education and building a future that I can be proud of.

Intended Major: Game Art



Future Goals: The first goal of attending my “dream school”, Ringling College of Art and Design has come true. Now I want to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts and go on to be employed at a small video game company.

Future Goals: My future goals are to make the world a better place through my work, both in engineering and through music. I want to use my passions for these things to help improve the lives of others and to share joy and love for the things that we do in community with one another.
