Each year, Shelly travels extensively, visiting dozens of colleges and universities, primarily in the United States. Webinars, workshops and seminars, and attendance at national and regional conferences keep Shelly updated on the ever-changing college admissions landscape. Shelly is a Certified Educational Planner; the CEP designation is a mark of distinction demonstrating expanded knowledge and commitment to the profession. It gives families the assurance they need that they are working with a qualified professional committed to maintaining the highest quality of service to students. Shelly earned this distinction in 2015.

Blessed with three daughters (now adults - and blessedly off the payroll), Shelly enjoys spending time with them, their families, and her husband (literally the best guy in the world). As a (nearly) native Coloradan, Shelly loves the great outdoors: skiing, golfing, hiking, reading, traveling, cooking, and all things at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
